Call for volunteer help by high school students
Organization Friends of the Canmore Library
Purpose The Friends of the Canmore Library are a group of people of all ages and interests who believe in the importance of a strong and vibrant community Library. The Library contributes to the literacy, education and entertainment of the permanent, seasonal and recreational population of Canmore. The Friends support the Library by holding (among other activities) three used book sales per year.

Sale dates Fri-Sat-Sun April 9th -10th -11th, 2010
Job description We would like the help of 5-6 students between the hours of 12:30 pm and 3 pm on Friday April 9th, 2010 to transport boxes full of books from their storage location on Glacier Drive to the Library, and set them up for sale.
On Sunday April 11th, 2010 we would like the help of 5-10 students between the hours of 2 pm and 3 pm to clear the unsold books, box them ready for disposal, and take them to the Elk Run recycling centre.
Note Volunteers will be shown how to lift properly in order to avoid back injuries. Average weight of book boxes is between 15 and 40 lbs.
