“Inclusive education is an approach and not a place; an approach that promotes the accommodation of all children into the learning experience in a way that maximizes their potential and fosters their self-esteem and sense of belonging to the school community and the larger society.  It is about recognizing and celebrating the diversity of learners and providing an opportunity for them to be the best that they can be.”  (MacKay Report on Inclusion)

Canadian Rockies Public Schools endeavour to work under this concept of inclusive philosophy of providing educational opportunities for all students.  It is a shared responsibility of administrators, teachers, education assistants, parents and students in determining each student’s level of participation and ensuring that sense of belonging within our school system.

Canadian Rockies Public Schools work is guided by Standards for Special Education
